The Bureau of Canine Vocalization Standards exists to formalize an act puppies have performed unsupervised since the dawn of puppies: barking, upon being disturbed. We now log it, classify it, and certify it.
Each bark is measured against proprietary acoustic models, tail-wag telemetry, and a reasonable amount of guessing, then assigned a Bark Authenticity score. This figure has never, in Bureau history, read anything but 100%.
No bark submitted to this Office may be logged as deficient. Bureau charter reserves the Deficient field for a bark not yet observed. This is described internally as generous.
